Action 01: Exploring alternative ways of arranging drawing tables

My intention is to draw on the aforementioned problematic issues, in order to set some general goals and to finally propose specific actions taking also into consideration significant restrictions from the institutional level, like the low funding and the strict time-schedule.

Action 01: Exploring alternative ways of arranging drawing tables

An important contextual factor that constraints collaboration and dialogue between students, and promotes the teacher-centric approach is the strict arrangement of the drawing tables. Consequently, alternative ways of arrangement should be investigated, or even better students could make their own proposals about their classroom. My main expectation from this action is not only to encourage students to collaborate with each other and learn from each other's work, but also to enhance the general ‘atmosphere’ towards more informal and cooperative ways of working. Moreover, my physical position will change too, from standing in front of the blackboard towards moving around the tables.
